Clement Arts is proud to present Studio Elevare — a classical ballet studio for girls ages 3-12 and up. The mission of Studio Elevare is to instruct young girls in the art of ballet while recapturing the virtues of inner beauty and a graceful spirit. Classes are taught by experienced ballet instructors with a passion both for dance and for creating an uplifting environment for young girls.

Summer Camp Schedule & Location

Age groups: 3-5, 6-10
Instructors: Amelia Cox & Bridget Adams

Young ballerinas will enjoy a week of dance and fun while learning what it means to be a true daughter of our King. Each day will include a full ballet class, Bible time focusing on a character trait admirable in a princess, and a craft.

The dance camp for ages 3-5 is currently full. Please email amelia@clement-arts.org to be added to our waiting list if a spot becomes available.

Registration for dance camp will close Saturday, June 17.

Proceeds from camp help support local adoption and foster care.

Clement Kids classes are open to all children in the community.

Camp Tuition: $100 (Includes $25 registration fee to be paid at the time of registration.)
*Camp registration fee ($25) must be paid for child’s name to appear on camp roster. Registration fee is nonrefundable. Camp tuition will be billed via email two weeks before the start of camp.

 

About the Instructors

Bridget Adams – Ballet Instructor

Bridget Adams started her dance training with Jackie O’Neal School of Dance in Birmingham, Alabama with a concentration in ballet, jazz, and acrobatics.  After ten years of training there, she began teaching at Nix Dance Studio in Auburn, Alabama while gaining her bachelor degree in Art from Auburn University.  She moved to Columbus, Georgia in 2004 and began teaching for The Columbus Ballet and CSU Dance Conservatory.  She has performed in The Columbus Ballet’s Nutcracker, Cinderella, SwanLake, and Peter and the Wolf.  Bridget has had the opportunity to hold the position of Assistant Director for The Columbus Ballet’s 2011-2014 performances. She finds great joy in teaching any student interested in learning the beautiful art of dance.

Amelia Cox – Ballet Instructor

Amelia Cox began learning the art of ballet at age 3 and continued training at Toni’s School of Dance until age 18. She was a part of the dance team at Columbus State University from 2010-2012, and she has a Bachelor of Art Degree in Communication from Columbus State University. Amelia has served with Clement Arts since May 2015, and she now serves as the full-time program director for Clement Kids. She was born and raised in Columbus, Georgia and now lives here with her husband, John. Amelia enjoys singing, playing guitar, playing piano, dancing, and almost anything involving the arts. She loves that the Lord has connected her love for the arts with His love for orphans.

Rebecca Wood – Creative Movement Instructor

Rebecca WoodRebecca is a homeschooled sophomore who started her classical ballet training at the age of 3 at Toni’s School of Dance.  She began taking classes at The Columbus Ballet when she was 7, and has been dancing with TCB for 8 years.  During that time she performed in The Nutcracker, Peter and the Wolf, Coppelia, and A Tribute to Queen.  She has attended a summer intensive at Ballet Magnificat! in 2014 and was accepted into Next Generation Ballet’s Summer Dance Intensive on a merit scholarship.  Rebecca is passionate in her love of dance and hopes to become a professional someday.

Holly Price – Pre Ballet Instructor

Holly Price grew up taking ballet and has always had a love for the art of dance. She holds a Bachelor’s in early childhood education from LaGrange College, and taught first and second grades in Georgia and Virginia before deciding to stay home with her three girls. Holly currently homeschools her three children and ministers alongside her husband, Gill, a local pastor. Her heart is to pursue dance excellently and as an expression of worship to glorify and honor the Lord. She is delighted to be a part of what the Lord is doing in and through Studio Elevare.

Meghan Brooks – Ballet 1 Instructor

Meghan BrooksMeghan Brooks grew up taking ballet and has always enjoyed dance as a means of worship and fellowship with the Lord. She studied with The Columbus Ballet Conservatory from ages 12 to 18, and continued dance throughout college with Auburn University’s Dance program. She has performed in The Columbus Ballet’s Nutcracker, Cinderella, and Swan Lake, as well as Auburn University Dance’s performance of “Colony” choreographed by Bill Evans for the National American Dance Festival in 2010. Meghan moved back to Columbus in 2012 to work as a  Physician Assistant at Mercy Med of Columbus nearby on 2nd Avenue. She has been involved with Highland Community Church’s after-school ministry, teaching a ballet class to several elementary aged girls in the community. She is excited to join with Studio Elevare to share the joy of worshiping God through dance.

Kwame Agyemang – Hip Hop Instructor

1aae_442623Kwame Agyemang was born in Detroit, MI. He moved to Columbus, GA with his family in 1990. Now a student at CSU, studying  sociology, Kwame also works full-time at Midtown Medical in Columbus. In the past, Kwame Agyemang attained a career as a Hip Hop Choreographer and Actor. After the Lord saved him, his desires switched to glorify God in all things. Every summer for the past 3 years, Kwame has gone alongside OM International to share the Gospel through Art. The Lord has allowed him to teach in places like Hungary, Rome, and Bobbio Pellice, Italy. A life that was enslaved to sin and death has been made alive through the precious blood of Jesus, the Prince of Peace. Now Kwame desires to proclaim the grace and truth of God by the Holy Spirit in all that he does, especially when it comes to Hip Hop Choreography.
