Studio Elevare Dance

Clement Arts is proud to present Studio Elevare — a classical ballet studio for girls ages 3-12 and up. The mission of Studio Elevare is to instruct young girls in the art of ballet while recapturing the virtues of inner beauty and a graceful spirit. Classes are taught by experienced ballet instructors with a passion both for dance and for creating an uplifting environment for young girls.

*Class requires ballet experience and/or placement by an instructor.

Clement Kids classes are open to all children in the community.

Registration Fee (per student): $25
*Registration fee must be paid for child’s name to appear on class roster. Registration fee is nonrefundable. An invoice for class will be sent via email on August 1 or once registration form is received.
Monthly* Tuition (per student): $60

*4 months in fall semester
10% discount if semester paid up front
10% discount for active duty military
10% discount for additional children involved in Clement Kids or Studio Elevare classes
Only one discount available per family. Discounts are not able to be stacked.

About the Instructors

Rebecca Wood – Creative Movement & Ballet 1 Instructor

Rebecca Wood is a homeschooled senior who started her classical ballet training at the age of 3 at Toni’s School of Dance. She began taking classes at The Columbus Ballet when she was 7, and has been dancing with TCB for 10 years. During that time she performed in The Nutcracker, Peter and the Wolf, Coppelia, and A Tribute to Queen. She has attended summer intensives at Ballet Magnificat! in 2015 and 2016 and Next Generation Ballet in 2017. Rebecca was also accepted into Boston Ballet School and Bolshoi Ballet Academy’s summer programs. She also competed in the Youth of America Grand Prix (YAGP) in 2015 and 2016. Most recently, Rebecca was accepted into the Next Generation Ballet’s Trainee program to train year round in Tampa, Fl. Rebecca is passionate in her love of dance and plans to use it to share the love of God however He chooses.

Piper Carlson – Pre Ballet Instructor

Piper Carlson started ballet at the age of 3 at the Columbus Ballet and has been dancing for 14 years. She has participated in The Nutcracker for 9 years and performed roles such as Snow Queen, Red Rose, Mouse Queen, and many others. She has also danced lead roles in Peter and the Wolf and the original ballet Serengeti choreographed by ballet instructor Lisa Carter. In January 2017 Piper competed in the Youth American Grand Prix in Atlanta Georgia. She attended the Ballet Magnificat! Summer Dance Intensive during the summers of 2016-2017. She is a homeschooled junior at Classical Conversations and is dual enrolled at Columbus State University. Piper is so excited to take her love of ballet and use it to share the gospel with the girls she will teach.

Ellie Grace Hughes – Ballet Jazz Instructor

Ellie Grace Hughes first started her classical ballet instruction at age six. She has trained for twelve years, including preforming for the Columbus Ballet Company.  Over the last six years she has been teaching children ballet as an art form.  Ellie Grace is currently in school for a degree in Creative Writing.  She is also a graduate of Impact360, a biblical worldview and servant leadership gap year program.  Now, she is looking forward combining her passions for the art of ballet, teaching, and children in an environment that promotes inspiration and dignity.

Meghan Brooks – Ballet 2 Instructor

Meghan Brooks grew up taking ballet and has always enjoyed dance as a means of worship and fellowship with the Lord. She studied with The Columbus Ballet Conservatory from ages 12 to 18, and continued dance throughout college with Auburn University’s Dance program. She has performed in The Columbus Ballet’s Nutcracker, Cinderella, and Swan Lake, as well as Auburn University Dance’s performance of “Colony” choreographed by Bill Evans for the National American Dance Festival in 2010. Meghan moved back to Columbus in 2012 to work as a  Physician Assistant at Mercy Med of Columbus nearby on 2nd Avenue. She has been involved with Highland Community Church’s after-school ministry, teaching a ballet class to several elementary aged girls in the community. She has instructed several semesters with Studio Elevare to share the joy of worshiping God through dance.
